Changes to the MANITOBA WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT LEGISLATIONEffective Oct.10th ,2009 new law under the Environment Act and the Regulations require : any seller who uses a waste water sewage ejector system to take it out of service and decommission it before transfering the property to a buyer. any seller who uses a greywater pit, composting toilet system, septic tank, holding tank, septic field or sewage ejector to connect to a wastwater effluent to an available waste water collection system and take these out of service and decommission them before transfering the property to a buyer. Note : the duty of the seller to disconnect and decommission a sewage ejector [ and to connect to a municiple wastewater collection system, if available ] cannot be assigned to the buyer to perform.
