Spring time!

Well it is now mid April and the market is heating up. Homes are selling is a fairly short time and I have heard rumors of some new home builders begining to increase pricing.

October

It looks like fall is in full swing and the market is beginning to slow. August and September were busy and there were strong sale numbers. It looks like pricing is very important when selling your home as there is a descent inventory on the market. That being said, you can still achieve a quick sale if you are competitive with your list price.

New Year

January is well under way and man has the weather been terrible! Even with the cold and snowy weather there has been a decent amount of activity in the market. I predict a strong spring and summer season this year with buyers trying to enter the market before interest rates begin to climb.  There are already lots of people starting to get out looking.

Fall is here

Fall has arrived... After a slower than normal summer the real estate market seems to have a bit of a last gasp happening before winter. Sales are a bit slow but steady at the same time. Home pricing is very important and it is definitely a buyers market.

Slower Summer

August is here and it seems the Real Estate market has lost some of it's momentum. There is more inventory and it is taking longer to sell a home than in the spring. It seems that pricing is very important! It is good news for the buyers because there is lots of selection and prices are dipping a little.

Pricing importance

July is upon us, school is getting out and peak real estate season is now. Inventory levels have risen quite a bit which has slowed any price increases we were seeing in the spring. Pricing on homes seems to be important as overpriced listings are sitting while a listing that is priced right can sell in a matter of weeks. I feel however, that the market is fairly strong and we will see good sale #'s ...

Hold your horses

Wow, is all I can say about the current market conditions. Homes that are priced properly are selling in a matter of days and I have even been in a couple of multiple offer situations this spring. Prices are coming up and inventory is still fairly low. Get in to the market now before the interest rates get too high!

March Madness

As I thought the market is picking up. There are lots of buyers looking for a new home before the interest rates start increasing and I have been receiving lots of calls for market evaluations. It looks to a busy spring market!!

Activity already picking up

Well it's only the beginning of February and activity is picking up. New invintory is starting to come onto the market and buyers are finding there is not a lot to choose from and any good deal is selling fast. I think this is going to be a busy year!!!

Happy new year!

Well 2010 has arrived and a new year for real estate has come along for the ride. I am anticipating a bold market for this year with some modest price increases. Activity should start picking up by February and sales will be strong.

Almost Christmas

Well the market is winding down in time for Christmas. The fall was still strong as far as sales are concerned and the home inventory levels are down considerably from this time last year. If the interest rates stay low and the buyers come out in force next year, we will be in for an interesting and productive year. Merry Christmas I'll see you in the New Year!!

Fall can be a good time to buy.

All the kids are back in school and fall has arrived. The summer saw a steady and very busy market. The inventory levels have continued to fall and prices have definitely stabilized. I think this fall there will still be a decent selection of homes to look at and with things slowing for the winter you might be able to find a good deal out there.

School almost back in!

It looks like school season is just around the corner and everyone's doing there back to school shopping. Real estate sales have been strong all summer and in certain areas we have seen some small price increases. I think the next couple months will continue to have strong sales into the winter months. The interest rates look like they will stay low for a while longer so take advantage while you can!!!!

Interest rates

Some of my clients have been finding that mortgage rates have begun to increase! some banks are now offering a 4.15% 5 year fixed where before they had a 3.95% 5 year fixed term.

New listing

I recently took a listing at 29 Lowe Avenue in Fort Saskatchewan. It is in a great location backing onto the golf course and the house has had extensive renovations. I will be holding an open house there on Sunday June 14th you should check it out. I will have refreshments and a draw for a couple of Tim Hortons gift cards! Don't miss out!

Rolling along

Hello again, It is now nearly June and the Real Estate market is getting into full swing. There are lots of new homes coming onto the market and the selection is still pretty good. Home sales have been very strong so far this year and I have even seen some multiple offers on a few homes resulting in sales slightly over the asking price! It appears that we have reached the bottom of home prices and ...

Sales are up!

The real estate market has continued to be stronger than I expected. I have found that many of the good "deals" that are available are being sold. There is a little bit less selection than there was a month or two ago and it is taking less days to get a home sold. It appears that we have probably hit the bottom in the Real Estate market and therefore right now is a great time to buy a home.

Market activity continues.

It is now nearly March and the increased market activity has continued. With the increase in sales, the inventory hasn't increased as fast as last year. If this continues we won't see the same kind of price decreases as last year and I think we will see a balanced market. With a stable market and record low interest, the next couple of months will be an extremely great time to buy your next home.

A new year

Well it is midway through January 2009. It seems that real estate activity is getting underway. New listings are picking up momentum and the new buyers are begining to get out and look at properties. I think that this year is going to have a robust and promising start!!
