Regina house sales ahead of 2010In Regina and area, residential home sales in May surpassed the 400 mark for the first time since July 2009. May’s average price of $296,838 set a new high for any month in the history of the Association of Regina REALTORS® Inc. MLS® System and was up 18% from May 2010. September Housing Starts Increase SharplyCanada Mortgage and Housing Corporation released Friday that September was another exceptionally busy month for home builders in Regina, Saskatoon and many other Saskatchewan cities.

Construction is on the riseAs reported by the Leader Post, the latest data released by Statistics Canada indicates that investment in non-residential construction is way up in Regina and generally up in Saskatchewan. Regina was up by 30.9 per cent and 6 per cent across Saskatchewan in the first quarter of this year compared to the first three months of last year.

Regina Sale Prices Hit New High in 2009Did you know that the average selling price for homes in Regina soared to a new high last year and the number of properties sold was the second highest ever?

What is happening in Regina's real estate market?Our 'normal' market in past years would have an average of 400-500 listings for sale in the city of Regina.
In 2008 we actually hit a high of 1200 listings at one point.
December 2008 we were at 750 listings (slower time of year, some sellers took their property off the market, some sold, some expired - contract was done and property didn't sell).
January 2, 2009 we had 762 listings.
