Over the last decade, I have seen some of the most amazing transformations of the city right before my eyes.

With amazing loft conversions like the Broadview Lofts setting the stage for a style of living that has revitalized the Leslieville/Riverdale area, I still want to see more.

On my tours of downtown condos and lofts, there is always one major thing lacking....the affordable 3 bed condo.

I am not suggesting that any of you reinvent the wheel on this. I know there have been suggestions made by some that would require you to have x amount of the units in new buildings as 3 bed spaces.

Instead, I think you should embrace the idea openly. Give the 2+1 bed condo buyers a chance to make changes, to buy another 1/2 unit and create some 3 bed spaces right upfront.

I know not everyone will agree with this opinion. In reality, having people move out of 2 bed spaces to have families should be what I really should be saying if the sale meant everything to me...in this case, it doesnt.

Having helped a lot of young couples find their dream home, I have enjoyed every part of that.

I simply feel that if a couple is considering starting a family and is given the option to add a 3rd bedroom and still keep the downtown lifestyle going for awhile, there will be good feelings all around.
