Snow LoveBeautiful cold, winter Sunday today. It actually is warmer than it was earlier in the week but a bit colder than yesterday @ -13C. Friday morning it was -42C with the windchill and I witnessed a car travelling down Taylor drive dragging the electrical cord for the block heater behind it.
We can moan and groan ...

Active Weather in Central AlbertaJust before supper time a storm system rolled through Penhold AB.
As the saying goes, if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes.
Central Alberta, Red Deer area, has great summer weather. It doesn't normally heat up above 30C very often, and it cools down to a comfortable level at night. Air conditioning units are not very common in our area. ...

Penhold although small in stature is the only "bedroom" or "commuting city" with in 15 - 20 minutes of Red Deer that has experienced an increase in MLS sales volume. The average sale price for real estate in Penhold has also experienced growth over 2007, not matched by Blackfalds or Sylvan ...

Penhold and Springbrook Real Estate Update:Saturday May 31, I had the pleasure of speaking to the attendees at the community breakfast. There were approximately 60 residents in attendance. The topic of discussion was that of an economic update with myself being asked to give a Real Estate update.
I'm always happy to discuss real estate and changes in the market place with home owners so I enjoyed the opportunity to do so.
The house prices ...

Penhold Market at a Glance:Here it is the day before Valentines day, and Penhold Real Estate appears to be as strong as ever. For those unfamiliar with Penhold, Penhold is located 14 kilometers south of Red Deer. Penhold is a growing community yet one who's growth has been slower than some of its neighbors. That is changing. For years now the north section has been tied up with a developer who was just slow to get things done. ...

Penhold Market Update:
It's October 1 and we've officially entered the last fiscal quarter for 2007. What an exciting year in real estate again. Dramatically different then 2006, and I can't wait to see how the rest of the year unfolds and 2008 begins.
Penhold historically has been somewhat quiet in comparison to the neighbors. 2007 is year best characterized as people on the ...

Wait Five MinutesGot to love the weather in Alberta. Really it is fantastic. We get some terrific weather patterns throughout the year. Here in Central Alberta we are immune for the most part to long durations of extreme heat and extreme cold. We have a moderate climate and we are blessed with warm westerly winds a.k.a Chinooks that thaw our winters and warm our hearts.
Our weather changes dramatically and we ...

Town with heartPreviously I mentioned that Penhold is the little town that can. Much of the emphasis is on growth and new development. I thought I would share a few photos from Penhold that make Penhold a great place to call home.I like the look of certain streets, how they frame the road etc... I'm partial to older areas with trees that create a canopy to drive down. New areas of course ...
