I stopped by the RDCO website and checked it out for the new mapping system for myself and it certainly is an improvement over it's predecessor.  I can see where consumers will benefit from the new map but as with all new product launches it still has some kinks to be worked out.  As an agent I know I will make this site a part of my routine when looking up information on properties.

An online mapping system used by residents of the Regional District of the Central Okanagan is getting a new look.

A new Geographic Information Systems mapping system is being launched on the Regional District website.

Communication Coordinator, Bruce Smith, says the new map is the culmination of many months of design, testing and updating.

"It provides a more powerful online mapping system that's easier to use than the previous system. The new system utilizes the most up-to-date Environmental Systems Research Institute technology and will help us adapt more quickly to future improvements and changes," says Smith.
