The City of Kelowna has announced the finalists of the 35th Annual Civic and Community Awards.

Awards winners from each category will be revealed on April 14 at the 35th Annual Civic and Community Awards Gala to be held at The Delta Grand Okanagan Resort & Conference Centre.

Nominated by Kelowna citizens, the finalists are recognized for their outstanding achievements which contributed significantly to the community in 2009.

Award finalists by category are:

 

Fred Macklin - Man of the Year: Awarded to a man in recognition of his overall outstanding contributions to the well-being of the City of Kelowna.

Tickets for the 35th Annual Civic and Community Awards Gala dinner are available to the public starting Wednesday March 17. Adult tickets are $45 and youth tickets can be purchased for $35. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
