Canada Day 2010 transit service in Kelowna BC
Kelowna and area residents are getting ready to celebrate Canada Day this coming Thursday, July 1,2010.
In response to anticipated heavier downtown traffic Kelowna Regional Transit will run additional bus services starting 1/2 hour after the completion of the fireworks from the Queensway bus station.
Residents are being encouraged to "go green" and reduce the number of vehicles ...

50th Anniversary of Rutland May Days start May 15th
This year's 50th anniversary of Rutland May Days will run from May 15 to May 18 in Centennial Park.
Event's include: All-Star Wrestling, Bull Riding Championships, Karaoke, Youth Dances and an Amusement Park.

With yet another recent snowfall, golf courses all around the Okanagan Valley have been forced to delay their scheduled openings. THE GOOGLE will lauch by Google very soon!Wannabe internet users in the 55+ category wishing to learn how to navigate the world wide web may have their prayers answered! Google Inc. recently announced that they will be targeting this demographic of sometimes challenged online users with their new product simpled named "TheGoogle.com"

Some neat looking electrical boxes can be spotted around the Central Okanagan.
I took these photos in late Fall before we got ourselves buried in Okanagan snow! I have seen several of these electrical boxes from Westbank to Kelowna and Vernon. I am not entirely sure if this was done to curb the spray painting of them or as they term it "tagging" but it seems to have worked.
