The paperwork involved in a real estate transaction can be a source of confusion to consumers.  You can download forms from STRATUS that offer clause-by-clause plain language explanations of the legal terminology used throughout them. 

You can make these forms available to your clients and customers in order to make the process of buying or selling a home less intimidating.  They also help to make YOU look good!  The following forms are available in "User Friendly" format:

• Listing Agreement Authority to Offer for Sale
• Seller Customer Service Agreement
• Buyer Representation Agreement
• Buyer Customer Service Agreement
• Confirmation of Co-operation and Representation

I would recommend that you print the forms on your colour printer, since the explanations are typed in red to differentiate them from the standard clauses.  Print a couple of each, and have them handy when meeting with the public.  Here's how you access them:

1. Access STRATUS
2. Click on the "Board Info" tab (at top of screen)
3. Choose "Toronto"
4. Go to "Site Map" (left-hand margin)
5. Scroll down to "Forms and Clauses"
6. Look for "Plain Language Forms"
