Charlottetown's Population Explodes!! Temporarily Awesome sight in Charlottetown today as the city was host to three cruise ships at the same time. The population of the city took a big jump; although temporary. It's great to see so many people interested in visiting Charlottetown in the shoulder season. The three ships visiting today were the Maasdam with a capacity of 1266 passengers and 557 crew, the Norwegian Jewel with a capacity of 2376 passengers and 1100 crew, and the Costa Atlantica with a capacity of 2680 passengers and 879 crew.
