What's Up in "The Blue Mountains"Even though the ski season hasnt yet been the best in many years, there is still lots to do in the Collingwood/Blue Mountains. However, everyone keep their fingers crossed for enough good snow to get us through the Ontario Winter Games in March....a time during which, retailers I am sure, would love to make up for the lesser ski season. Tour de GrandFor all those that are cycling enthusiasts participate in the Tour de Grand event out of Cambridge, Ontario. You can participate in rides varying from 25K to 160K. We chose the 100K route, and although there were stong headwinds, it was an excellent ride through and around the Cambridge, Grand River area.

Galileo in Rome for Inquisition
On this day in 1633, Italian philosopher, astronomer and mathematician Galileo Galilei arrives in Rome to face charges of heresy for advocating Copernican theory, which holds that the Earth revolves around the Sun. Galileo officially faced the Roman Inquisition in April of that same year and agreed to plead guilty in exchange for a lighter sentence. ...
