Modern Day Super Hero As we approach our Charlottetown Drop Zone date of Wednesday, August 11th, one particular member of the Century 21 Colonial Realty Team Kids To Camp has proven himself to be a true Superhero already. Paul Compton, with the help of his sister Cindy Beharrell and brother-in-law Rich Beharrell, has raised to date over almost 5 thousand and counting for Easter Seals. Raising money for Easter Seals is especially personal for Paul as he has directly benefited from Easter Seals supported programs. Paul attended Camp Gencheffe and The Joyriders for over 20 years. Both Easter Seals supported charitable organizations. Paul understands firsthand how incredible and valuable the camp experience is and wants to help others get the opportunity to experience it as well. Paul attended Camp Gencheffe for over 20 years. Camp Gencheff is was developed in 1960 as a summer camp for mentally and physically challenged children. Camp Gencheff is the highlight of his summer. He gets to hang out with friends, play games such as baseball, volleyball and frisbee. He watches movies with his friends, listens to music, goes for walks, and his favorite...have dances. He loves to show his latest dance moves!
Last year, Paul's father, Simon Compton passed away on March 17th. Just under two months before his graduation. Paul admired and loved his father tremendously. It deeply saddened Paul that his father wouldn't watch him walk across the stage to graduate. After the graduation ceremony, still in cap and gown, Paul kissed his award, lifted it skyward and said "this is for you Dad". His father would have been incredibly proud of this major accomplishment as he was proud of all that Paul did. He would also have been proud of Paul for his dedication to The Drop Zone and his brave commitment to rappelling off of the Delta Prince Edward Hotel this summer to raise money so that others like him, can go to camp.
