November Market UpdateIt's official - total real estate sales have passed the $1 billion mark for the first time. Based on reports through the Association of Regina REALTORS® MLS® System, several new highs were sent in November 2011 compared to a year ago:

Building permits in Regina set all time record in 2011As reported in the Leader Post, building permits have been setting records for about the past 10 years. 2011 is the first time to hit the $500-million mark in the city's 108 year old history.

Year to Date Sales in Regina and Area Housing Market Surpass 2010!There was a surge in recorded sales in both May and June of 2011; as a result, year to date sales in 2011 have surpassed 2010 levels. Regina house sales ahead of 2010In Regina and area, residential home sales in May surpassed the 400 mark for the first time since July 2009. May’s average price of $296,838 set a new high for any month in the history of the Association of Regina REALTORS® Inc. MLS® System and was up 18% from May 2010. April Sales Dip in SaskatchewanIn Saskatchewan, real estate sales were down 2.8 per cent to 1,036 compared to 1,066 in April, 2010. But average sale prices continued to climb by 2.6 per cent to $256,034 in April compared to $249,634 a year ago.
