Flat roofs in the snow beltHow much snow falls here in Rossland? What do you want ? Feet or Meters? To be honest all I can say is lot's and lots. Sometimes it's up to your knees overnight and sometimes it's up to your hips. Then it freezes, then it thaws (and it gets heavy) and you start to freak. OMG! can my roof handle it? No worries, my roof sheds. Great! it lands on the garden (or the walkway or the driveway or ...

Mortgage Rates, does it get any better?I often wonder what people are waiting for when it comes to lending rates. When I bought my first property I was happy to secure a 5 year term at just under 10%! I have spoken with people that bought their first home and paid 16% or higher ! Can you imagine that? I guess the early 80's are ancient history for some people, but that stuff happens, and history has a funny way of repeating. ...

Buyers Market !...and so it should be. It is not a sit on the fence , drag your feet, wait till I think it has bottomed ( 'cause you'll miss it) market. So what should a Buyer do? How about buy! Funny isn't it, that during a Sellers Market, the Buyers are tripping over each other in a race to buy. A tough time to buy value, prices climbing by the week. So what is stopping buyers today? Fear of paying too much? ...

BonspielThis is a first for me. Competitive Curling Saturday at 9am Rossland Arena. Got some shoes at Gerick's in Trail today. I guess I will be the guy that puts up the guard. I'm at the minimum skill level.Maybe I'll be the guy that buys the beer! I'm hopeful for our team to finish well. Vince Lombardi once said "winning isn't everything... it"s the only thing".
