Well,  I’ve got some good news for you.  The Home in Peel Affordable Ownership Program has been extended until December 31, 2010. And what better time to purchase a home then now!

The Home in Peel Affordable Ownership Program has been designed to provide residents that have a total annual income of $77,900 or less and who are currently renting to purchase a home in the Region of Peel (that includes Brampton, Caledon or Mississauga) for a purchase price that does not exceed $270,000. 

Not to sure if you’re ready to buy a home? If you have said some or all of these statements, then you may be ready to buy a home: 

• Over the years, I have demonstrated the ability to save money and I am generally pleased with the amount I have saved so far.
• I have a continuous and reliable source of income.
• I have worked hard to earn a good credit rating and continue to use credit wisely.
• Pride of ownership is important to me, and I would enjoy the opportunity to care of my house inside and out.

Buying a home will be one of the biggest investments that you will make and potential buyers should weigh their needs and the pros and cons to making such a big decision.  Make sure you take the time to and ask questions.  You want to be well informed when purchasing your first home.  You also want to work with a Realtor that will be knowledgeable about the market, understand your needs, answer any questions you may have and provide quality service to you throughout the whole home buying process.
